Our project focuses on perception through different levels of immersion, allowing people to explore their own definition of what perception means to them. Our project references the research of Gianni Barchiesi, a Ph.D. candidate in Cinema Studies at the Tisch School of Arts. We let people perceive how motion and different senses affect our perception while looking through different media.

All museum patrons, especially families.
The user(s) will go through a journey exploring similar experiences in different media. They are given a task to find different objects hidden in the scene in the traditional printed book, projection mapping, and VR.
There is a printed book that they can sit and go through. Then, there is a projection mapping on a table connected to a laptop. This requires a Kinect V2 and a projector. Lastly, there is a VR experience.
We tried so many types of object detection methods and worked with the Kinect and projectors with different throws.
